Low deck balcony — closest to the water you can get

Deck 7 balcony cabin 7066. You are close enough to the water to smell the salt and hear the waves. On calm days you can see fish. The proximity to the waterline gives you a completely different cruise experience than higher decks — it feels more intimate, more connected to the actual ocean. The trade-off is that in rough seas, waves can splash up high enough to mist the balcony. This happened once on our trip and it was honestly thrilling rather than annoying. The cabin is slightly older-feeling than higher decks, possibly last in line for renovation, but everything works. Great for anyone who wants to feel like they are actually at sea rather than in a floating hotel.
